The Good and the Bad about Panasonic Rice Cookers

I’m a huge fan of Panasonic 3.3 cup rice cooker. It’s nice, gives me a great value, and is highly recommended by many online reviewers. I’m so into its innovative and convenient design and other useful features. In fact, Panasonic rice cookers generally get positive reviews from consumers. My friend owns one, loving it the moment she saw it.
This article shows some reviews of Panasonic cookers. Panasonic has many rice cooker models, but listing all of them here won’t be possible because of space limitations. So I randomly chose 5 units and included them here.
Panasonic SR-NA18 Rice Cooker
From Agatha, 41, teacher: I bought this rice cooker because of the great reviews. It’s a very nice cooker, actually. One of the good things is its automatic adjustments, perfect when making the best rice. It has a self-cleaning feature and a washable inner lid. It just pleases me to see it go well with the countertop. But not all things are perfect. Try to put a cauliflower head in this rice cooker and you’ll be disappointed. The steamer tray is also not deep enough.

From Sania, 40, homemaker: For the first three months, this rice cooker was all I could ask for. I thought I couldn’t ask for more. But the water soon began to bubble up, spilling over some mess. This device makes the rice boil many times, not a good thing. It creates some pretty annoying mess on my countertop. Worse, I often make poor rice. It comes out crunchy. The splattering when the rice boils is just horrible. I’ve tried all troubleshooting suggestions, but nothing worked.

It cooks white and brown rice beautifully. I also love the fact that it’s easy to clean. I also like the LCD display, which allows me to see the remaining time before the rice is cooked. What we have now is a pretty good rice cooker. We couldn’t ask for more.

I have cooked various types of rice with this cooker and it doesn’t disappoint. Here’s a helpful tip: Adjust water quantity depending on the rice type. The rice cooker also has some dishwasher-friendly features. However, some features just don’t work. I Don’t like the shallow lid of the pot and the shabby handles of the rice cooker. It gives a great value, though.

This rice cooker is perfect for health-conscious people like me. This compact rice cooker suits my counter well. I’ve been using this cooker, one of the best Panasonic rice cookers out there, almost everyday for more than 2 months now. So far it’s working just fine.
